Job Description
We are hiring for a remote Medical Coder II! Our Medical Coding team works hard to ensure patient services are coded correctly so that patients are appropriately billed in a timely manner. Columbia County Health System is a rural, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) in Dayton, WA with two Rural Health Clinics (RHC) and one, fee-for-service clinic.
Compensation and Benefits: - Compensation: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour, based on years of experience, education, and licensing
- Full-Time, 40 hours/week
- Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm Pacific Standard Time
- Remote: must live in Washington State, Oregon, or Idaho
- Full-Time Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision & Basic Life Insurance; eligibility to participate in a 401K Plan, as well as PTO and Sick Time Accruals
We are looking to hire an experienced Medical Coder! In this role, you will perform coding, audits and reviews of CCHS services including Rehab (PT/OT/ST and Acupuncture), Wound Care with Hyperbarics, and Inpatient and Outpatient services to include but not limited to Inpatients stays, Swingbed and Observation services, Emergency Room, Outpatient Labs/Radiology and Infusion Services. You will support coding optimization and compliance for our Critical Access Hospital and Rural health Clinics. You will work alongside the Revenue Cycle Team and Providers for ongoing feedback and support. As a Coder, you will look at documentation, ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and HCC Coding in alignment with current medical group reimbursement requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will hold an AHIMA or AAPC credential (CPC, COC, CCA, CCS, RHIT, etc.) and have at least 4 years of experience in Coding or a related field. Inpatient and outpatient experience in a Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Health Clinic is preferred.
