About the Role:

As a Vet Assistant at the Pet Medical Center of Springfield, you will play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of animals in our care. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the daily operations of the clinic, which includes preparing for examinations, assisting during procedures, and providing compassionate care to pets. Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification as a veterinary assistant or completion of a veterinary assistant program.
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital.
• Knowledge of animal behavior and basic veterinary care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures by preparing instruments and monitoring the health of animals.
• Provide basic care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising them as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring that all areas are tidy.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing them with information about their pets' health and care instructions.
• Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and processing payments.
