Test Automation Engineer (embedded systems)

Job location: Waltham, MA (Onsite)

Job description:

We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems automation testing. You will be responsible for crafting and implementing automated test scripts using Python to guarantee the quality and dependability of our software applications.

Key responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement automated test scripts using Python to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and develop effective test strategies.
3. Identify and document defects, facilitating timely resolutions with the development team.
4. Maintain and improve the existing test automation framework and processes.

Required Skills:

1. 5 to 7 years’ experience in embedded systems test automation.
2. 5 to 7 years experience in Python programming for test automation.
3. Experience using pytest to create Python tests.
4. Experience configuring and maintaining test automation in Jenkins.
5. Hands-on working experience in Linux (e.g. CentOS) is mandatory.
6. Experience in automation of HDMI using Squish automation framework.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
9. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to have:

1. Exposure to test LAB environment, devices setup, troubleshooting, and configuration.
