Our client small, dynamic CPA firm located on the Main Line comprised of four CPAs, three of which are partners, and a supportive team of staff. This Firm provides high-quality accounting, tax, audit, and consulting services to a variety of clients across different industries. Our client seeks a highly skilled and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and performing tax and audit reviews, as well as providing financial statement attest functions for clients. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and audit processes, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Tax Preparation and Compliance:

    • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns.
    • Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients.
    • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
    • Review and analyze client financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and potential risks.
  • Audit and Review Engagements:

    • Lead and perform audit, review, and compilation engagements for clients in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct planning, fieldwork, and reporting for audit and review engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
    • Work with clients to obtain necessary documentation, respond to inquiries, and provide guidance on accounting issues.
    • Oversee staff on audit engagements, providing direction and mentorship.
  • Attest and Assurance Services:

    • Perform attest functions for clients, including reviews and compilations of financial statements.
    • Draft financial statement reports and ensure they are accurate and compliant with industry standards.
    • Provide recommendations to clients based on audit and financial statement reviews.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing proactive advice and solutions to complex financial, accounting, and tax issues.
  • Team Collaboration and Supervision:

    • Work closely with firm partners and other CPAs on complex projects and client issues.
    • Supervise and mentor junior staff and interns, offering guidance and training on technical skills, client interactions, and firm processes.
    • Review work performed by staff members to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Firm Development and Growth:

    • Contribute to the development and execution of firm strategies for business growth and client service improvements.
    • Participate in firm marketing, networking, and client development initiatives to expand the firm’s footprint and services.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)

CPA certification (required)

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, including experience in tax, audit, and financial statement attest functions.

Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and auditing standards.

Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSystem FX, Proseries, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle client relationships effectively.

Desire to grow professionally within a small firm setting, taking on increasing responsibilities.
