Job Duties:

• Escuela Bilingue Internacional has an opening for Spanish Teacher in Emeryville, California. $86,880.00 per Year.
• Plan and prepare teaching lessons and strategies that have a student-centered constructivist approach to maximize student learning.
• Remain current with content knowledge in the Spanish subject areas.
• Meet IB standards and practices.
• Plan lessons based on the IB learner profile.
• Include the use of technology and other resources as tools to enhance learning goals.
• Assist students with student reflection and self-assessment and use student assessment to plan future lessons.
• Build a community in the classroom where students feel safe, included, represented, and appreciated.
• Model and incorporate the IB learner profile; pursue open-ended inquiry and real-life research through a student-centered constructivist approach.
• Address the needs of students with different levels and types of abilities.
• Apply a variety of assessment strategies considering students' individual needs and interests to reflect upon the lesson and make necessary changes.
• Grade and prepare reports aligned with grade/subject expectations, including appropriate IB standards and practices.
• Meet with students and parents to assess learning needs; keep records of students’ performance and achievement; and communicate with colleagues regarding student progress.

Job Requirements:

• The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Teaching, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a teaching-related occupation.
