As a Security Engineer, Sr within PNC's
Enterprise Key Management organization, the position is primarily based in a PNC location in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

The Enterprise Key Management Security Sr Engineer drives the design, development and implementation of activities including but not limited to, Enterprise Encryption Solutions, Centralized Key Management, Cloud Key Management, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and centralized key management processes and procedures on prem and in the cloud.

Preferred Skills:
•\tExperienced in Key Management and HSM solutions (Thales Network HSM, Thales CipherTrust Manger, CipherTrust Cloud Key Manager (CCKM), Oracle Key Vault)
•\tExperienced in the Encryption Key Management lifecycle, key ceremonies, chain of custody
•\tUnderstanding of Cryptography, encryption, algorithms
•\tFamiliarity with scripting languages is a plus
•\tExperience with Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) and Hold Your Own Key (HYOK) in Azure, AWS or GCP a plus
•\tKnowledge of Jira, Confluence, SharePoint a plus

•\tLeverage technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and implement technology solutions
•\tDetermine impact to existing solutions when new standards are implemented
•\tDevelop and implement cryptographic solutions

•\tResponsible for deliverable related to project timelines
•\tKnowledgeable of current technologies, industry trends, and best practices

Job Description

• Provides subject matter expertise when applying security concepts. Works as an engineering lead. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions. Responsible for deliverables related to program timelines.
• Responsible for working with architecture to take high level architectural designs and determining the specifics around implementation details (ex: sizing) integration details, onboarding and operationalization. Provides environmental expertise when engaged in the review of capabilities and/or functions, including the road map planning process. Is the identified capability owner for future enhancement requests.
• Leads in the evaluation of patches, updates, ongoing maintenance. Determines impacts to existing solutions when new standards are implemented. Drives collaboration with the operations team to identify pain points and implement corrective actions, and additional functions/features. Utilizes change control and other governance processes to ensure alignment of solutions.
• Develops detailed implementation, configuration, design, and engineering documentation. Build and implement solution.
• Works with operation partners to enable transition and day-to-day supportability.
• Provides engineering support to existing technology in a production environment, collaborating with other groups as required. Seeks opportunities to grow broad knowledge base to complement specific subject matter expertise. Provides mentoring and knowledge sharing with other members of the team.

Work Experience Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
