Weekly Hours: 3640
Hourly Rate: Starting at $30 per hour (based on experience)
ProCare Therapy is hiring a Sign Language Interpreter to provide interpretation services for students in a school district located in Wabash, Indiana. This full-time onsite role is an excellent opportunity to support students' educational growth and foster an inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
Interpret classroom lessons, discussions, and instructions between students and educators.
Aid students in understanding course material and completing assignments.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to accommodate student needs.
Ensure all communications remain confidential and professional.
Adapt interpretation methods based on individual student preferences.
Participate in school-related events when needed.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in ASL Interpretation or related field.
RID or EIPA 3.5+ certification preferred.
Prior experience in educational settings preferred.
Knowledge of deaf culture and various communication methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
