A school Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) typically has a range of responsibilities aimed at supporting students who may need additional academic assistance.

1. Interpretation: Provide real-time interpretation of spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) during classroom instruction, school events, and meetings.

2. Communication Facilitation: Assist deaf or hard-of-hearing students in communicating with teachers, peers, and staff to ensure full participation in the educational environment.

3. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and support staff to understand lesson plans and instructional materials, ensuring accurate interpretation.

4. Cultural Mediation: Serve as a cultural bridge, helping to promote understanding and communication between deaf and hearing individuals.

5. Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of students' information and communication, adhering to professional ethical standards.

These duties help create an inclusive environment for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Job Details:

Job Requirements:
