Job Description
We are seeking dedicated, licensed behavioral health clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) to join our team and provide remote, community-based therapy to adult and pediatric clients. This is a part-time position with flexible evening and weekend hours, based on your availability after 3 p.m. and on weekends.
As a therapist, you will play an essential role in helping clients manage their mental health by offering individual, family, or group therapy. You will conduct diagnostic evaluations, develop care plans with clients and their families, and provide care coordination. This role also involves maintaining detailed documentation of clinical interventions in line with state and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical:
Conduct initial behavioral health evaluations and provide individual, group, and family therapy for children and adults.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, both within and outside the organization, to discuss treatment plans and progress.
Coordinate with psychiatric consultants for diagnostic needs and refer clients for medication management as necessary.
Participate in clinical team meetings and contribute to discussions about client care.
Meet productivity standards, focusing on delivering high-quality care during performance evaluations.
Foster an open environment for clients to express their thoughts and emotions, helping them gain insight into themselves and their relationships.
Perform crisis interventions and assess immediate safety concerns, including high-risk clients at risk for self-harm, harm to others, or domestic violence.
Guide clients in developing strategies to achieve their treatment goals.
Create and implement treatment plans according to clinical knowledge, state regulations, and industry standards.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to reflect changes in their situation.
Support and educate family members to assist them in understanding and helping their loved ones.
Stay updated on new developments in the field of behavioral health to enhance your practice.
Gather information about community mental health resources that may benefit clients.
Administrative:
Complete all required documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies, including intake forms, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Ensure treatment notes are completed and locked within 72 hours of each visit.
Prepare reports for external agencies, including DCF, Family Relations, probation, etc., with proper client consent.
Participate in agency-wide committees as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must hold a current LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH).
