Job Title: Landscape Design & Salesperson
Pay Range: $26 to $32 per hour

Job Summary:

D.A. Alexander & Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape Design & Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will create scaled landscape designs/plans and proposals to meet specific design objectives, sell landscape services to clients, and oversee the activities of landscaping crews to ensure high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement: Greet clients at their home/location to determine their budget, style, and desired landscape services.
• Design Creation: Develop scaled landscape designs/plans using standard design principles.
• Proposal Preparation: Prepare detailed proposals and contracts for clients.
• Payment Processing: Receive payments or obtain credit authorization from clients.
• Work Inspection: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
• Scheduling: Schedule work for crews based on work priorities, equipment availability, project demands, and weather conditions.
• Material Takeoff: Create material takeoffs from designs/plans.
• Safety and Standards Enforcement: Enforce operating procedures and work standards to promote employee safety and meet performance requirements.
• Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Preferred 3 years of related experience.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Preferred experience with DynaScape and Horticopia software.
• Licenses: Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
