Job Summary:
Kitchen supervisor works closely with Director of Retail Operations and Front Of House Manager to maintain company objectives in service, quality, appearance, sanitation, and cleanliness while maintaining a positive, productive working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cook and work the restaurant line as the Lead
  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures
  • Comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements
  • Train all kitchen staff according to provided job duties
  • Schedule kitchen employees (following labor targets)
  • Order ingredients, supplies and other materials based on demand (following Budget targets)
  • Weekly protein counts & end of month inventories
  • Rotate & organize all inventory
  • Make sure products are labeled with "sell by" dates
  • Ensure front & back lines are fully stocked for service
  • Dictate the prep list to your subordinates and write out how much of each product must be prepped at change of shift or end of night
  • Line quality checks
  • Maintenance log for kitchen area including equipment maintenance
  • Ensure daily & weekly cleaning tasks are completed
  • Monitor product cost compared to price point
  • Menu development for Weekly/Seasonal feature items
  • Work with Event Coordinator regarding event menus
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service, standards, and efficient operations
  • Participate in weekly meetings with management team

Skills and Attributes:
  • 21+ years of age
  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Availability to work nights/weekends/holidays (40 hrs a week up too 50hrs as needed)
  • Basic computer knowledge of Word and Excel, ability to learn other programs as needed

Preferred qualifications:
  • Valid Serve Safe Certification
  • 1+ year experience managing a kitchen team

Compensation:
  • Pay Rate: $22/hr
