4 Licensed Journeymen Electricians for
travel work in
Orla, TX. MUST BE LICENSED Requirements
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threading machine, rules and conduit benders
- Installing, modifying and fabricating cable tray accordingly to drawings & P&ID's.
- Read and understand P&ID's (symbols, tags and instrument lines), wiring diagrams and instrument loop drawings.
- Pulls wiring through wiring raceway, assisted by helper.
- Load, transport and unload tools, equipment and supplies.
- Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.
- Test continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer and oscilloscope.
- Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit- breaker panels, and fastens in place with screws or bolts using hand or power tools.
- Assist in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation. Work on electrical systems ranging from 12vcd to 480 vac; electrical meters and diagnostics tools for troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Perform minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures including lockout/tag out procedures
- Perform other duties as required.
Skill Requirements - Read and understand P&ID's (symbols, tags and instrument lines), wiring diagrams and instrument loop drawings.
- Understand how to read and translate the information found within all schematic wiring P&ID's process diagrams and experience with applicable codes and standards
- Proven organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem solver, results focused, self-motivated.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Comfortable with traveling 80% of time
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Must be able to work individually and on a team.
- Drug screen and background check required
Experience & License Requirements - Must be a licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Must have 3+ years of experience working at Gas plants
Physical Requirements - Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach with arms and use tools above/over the head.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to stand (for extended periods of time), walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and twist
- Ability to sit, balance and climb ladders, scaffolds and other objects.
- Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
Travel - 14/14 work schedule
- $100/day Perdiem
- Lodging will be taken care of
- Travel reimbursement based on location
