Responsibilities: • Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests • Field customer complaints when necessary • Perform regular bookkeeping duties: make sure hotel guest information is current and correct • Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide correct keys and room numbers • Take incoming calls, online and in-person room bookings requests, and answer questions about guests’ needs involving room rates, available rooms, amenities, rewards programs, and special requests • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data • Register guests by collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay) • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate Qualifications: • High school graduate, GED recipient, or equivalent • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills • At least one year of hospitality industry experience as a hotel front desk agent or similar position preferred • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems • Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations • Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role • Experience with hotel reservation software, like Cloudbeds and RoomKeyPMS • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor • Customer service attitude • Excellent communication and organizational skills • A degree in hotel management is a plus Compensation: $14 - $15 hourly • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data • Register guests by collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay) • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate The Rushmore Hotel
