Job Summary:

The Executive Business Associate is responsible for supporting the Chief Operating Office in all aspects of their jobs and hence acts as an extension of the COO. This includes, but is not limited to leadership, management and the execution of daily operations for the Hospital. Under direction from the COO, the Executive Business Associate supports administrative responsibility in regard to recruitment and retention, management, cost awareness, staffing, scheduling and the development of organization-wide goals for their areas of assigned responsibility. The Executive Business Associate has executive oversight with oversight of several other leadership roles, therefore candidates who are able to demonstrate effective leadership and management experience, with increasing amounts of responsibility, are desired.

Duties of the Executive Business Associate:
  • Assists in the assurance that Insight Surgical Hospital complies with the requirements of any governmental or regulatory body having jurisdiction on the premises.
  • Recognizes and comprehends how compliance affects each department within the Hospital.
  • Understands and identifies the role that billing has in each department within the Hospital.
  • Assists in overseeing Hospital operations; oversees operations while COO is unavailable.
  • Actively plays a role in the achievement of fiscal and operational objectives, established by the CEO/COO and Governing Board.
  • Serves as an effective leader for management and staff; serves as an effective liaison with the medical staff as delegated by the COO and represents the COO in his/her absence.
  • Attends key meetings for management and leads these meetings as needed.
  • Acts as an extension of the Executive Team concerning day to day operations.
  • Manages projects delegated by the Executive Team; advises management in support of the Executive team's best interests.
  • Minimizes costs wherever necessary and manages budgets as needed.
  • Reviews, negotiates and advises upon contracts for physicians and other key staff members.
  • Markets the Hospital's services in regard to increasing revenue and building relationships.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with staff, physicians, vendors, etc.
  • Assists in the recruitment and retention of Physicians.
  • Supports the operation of alternate facilities in accordance with the Executive Team's delegation.
  • Takes part in governing board meetings as needed.
  • Oversee the development and leadership programs in support of Insight's mission and core values
Qualifications of the Executive Business Associate :
  • Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field required, Masters preferred.
  • Previous Healthcare leadership is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience leading and supporting team members required
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute on tactical necessities-no task is too large or too small; Ability to manage complex projects across multiple departments; Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to influence business partners at all levels
  • Strong people developer that fosters trust, extends empathy and provides transparency; able to negotiate through conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization; sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Independent thinking and team collaborator
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology desired
  • A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy.
