What You’ll Do:

As a Data Center Cabling Specialist, you’ll:

  • Coordinate Installations : Plan, coordinate, and execute cabling projects, including installation, termination, and testing of network and communication cables in accordance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders : Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop cabling plans and strategies that meet the organization’s infrastructure needs.
  • Ensure Safety & Quality : Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines during cabling installations and maintenance activities.
  • Problem-Solve & Troubleshoot : Troubleshoot and diagnose complex cabling issues, utilizing specialized tools and equipment.
  • Maintain Project Documentation : Keep accurate records of installations, test results, and project progress reports.
  • Manage Resources : Monitor and manage inventory of cabling materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Act as the On-Site Contact : Serve as the main point of contact for customers on-site.

What you'll bring:

You bring expertise, leadership, and a passion for innovation. You are an experienced professional with:

  • Education & Experience : High school diploma or equivalent, with advanced certifications in cabling systems (BICSI Technician, etc.) highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise : Understanding of cabling standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801) and extensive experience with fiber optics, copper, and coaxial cable systems.
  • Problem-Solving Ability : A knack for diagnosing issues and implementing effective, innovative solutions.
  • Team Collaboration : Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Safety Awareness : A solid understanding of safety protocols.
  • Experience : 3-5 years in network cabling, with hands-on experience with tools like fusion splicers, cable testers, and termination kits.

Physical Requirements :

  • Maneuvering on uneven ground and climb ladders.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35lbs.
  • Must be able to work on feet for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50-75% of the time.

Salary Range

$72,000 - $83,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
